CONCLUSIONS
This numerological technique and divination tool strikes me as the sort of thing which would work well at a psychic fair or at a party, when you can’t spend a great deal of time with each client or party attendee, but you still want to give them something useful, personalized, and relevant, and quickly. Indeed, if you and a bunch of others are educated in this numerological technique, you could make a game of it, by throwing everybody’s birthdate in a hat, then have everybody pull a birthdate out, do a chart, then explain the results to everyone there. The subject can ‘out’ themselves or not, confirm if it’s true or not.
This can be a good numerological system for those idle moments when you want to learn more about somebody, possibly even discovering a secret or two about them which will help you in dealing with them going forward. If you’ve got multiple people playing parts in the same aggravating life problem, situation, or drama, doing their square-of-nine can shed some helpful light on their behavior. It won’t necessarily make the situation any less frustrating, but it will make it more understandable. And the beauty of this system is, it’s simple, quick, and revealing. If you have a good basic grounding in the meanings of the nine primary numbers, you can give people a good, insightful reading with very little to go on. With that said, have fun with this!
EXERCISES
- Do your own Square of Nine chart. Does it sound like you? Have someone who knows you well look at the chart you’ve created for yourself; do they think it sounds like you?
- Do a Square of Nine Chart for someone you know well. How close does it come to accurately describing them? Have this person look at the Square of Nine you created for them; do they think it sounds like them? Did it reveal anything to you about this person you didn’t know before?
- Choose someone famous from history and do their Square of Nine chart. Given the accounts of this distinguished (or notorious) person’s life which you have read, how well or poorly did their Square of Nine chart seem to fit them? Did it reveal anything to you about this person you didn’t know before? Or did it simply confirm the traits which were already manifestly there?
- OPTIONAL, BECAUSE IT’S OUT-THERE: Do a Square of Nine chart for some institution, organization, structure, charity, or government department which has an actual birthdate and which birthdate you happen to know. Given what you know personally about this non-human entity, how well or poorly does its chart seem to fit its existence and way of being in the world?
- Given the previous exercises you just completed, answer the following questions. Did you find this to be a useful technique to know? Would you use it again? If so, in what circumstances? What are the strengths and short-comings of this numerological technique as a method of divination?

I would be remiss if I didn’t provide the details about the book where I came across this ingenious way of doing numerology, and which inspired this lesson. Webster takes a different approach to numerology, choosing to focus on a ‘magic square’ format. There’s a sixteen-square numerological chart, which provides a little more information about the subject, but for erecting that chart, I’ll refer you to Webster’s book, which is certainly worth a read.
