THE EIGHT MAIN MIXED TYPES
Of course, not everyone is purely one of these types. In fact, a good number of people will likely be a combination of two or more body types. Miall listed eight chief paired physical types as follows:
Bony-Digestive—This type physically is large-boned and well-fleshed with a broad firm face. Tallness and dark skin tend to mark this type. They are quite-likely to choose teaching as their profession. This is not one of the best mixed types, combining as it does boniness and plumpness. Their chief character trait is a combination of reliability and prosperity.
Bony-Circulatory—This type physically is tall and has an angular figure, but some are the small, slender type. Their skin is ruddy-hued and their other coloring is fair. Their chief character trait is a combination of reliable and enthusiastic.
Bony-Muscular—This type physically tends to be tall and dark, with a rather oblong face. Their chief character trait is a combination of trustworthiness, endurance and courage.
Bony-Brainy—This type physically is tall and slender, with the typically bony build and a narrow-jawed head which is well-developed at the brow line. The face tends to have large features and dark coloring. Their chief character trait is a combination of reliability and imaginativeness.
Digestive-Circulatory—This type physically has a plump, yet firm physique, without the ‘puffy’ look of the purely Digestive type. The face is longer than it is with the purely Digestive type, and the fingers are longer too. They often have a ruddy complexion and blue eyes. Their chief character trait is a combination of prosperous and enthusiastic.
Digestive-Brainy—This type physically is a more-refined and intelligent version of the purely Digestive type (meaning less-plump), with the typical broad forehead of the Brainy type. Their chief character trait is a combination of the prosperous and imaginative.
Circulatory-Muscular—This type physically has a rosy complexion, light brown or blonde hair with usually blue eyes. The face is fairly long, often oval and they have a rather short, sturdy build. Their chief character trait is a combination of the enthusiastic and athletic.
Circulatory-Brainy—This type physically has a ‘clever’ looking head, with a wide forehead, a pointed chin, and a delicate, refined face, with pink coloring. They’re often blonde. The hands and feet are small and their figure is on the slender side. Their chief character trait is a combination of enthusiastic and imaginative.
Muscular-Brainy—This type physically is short and rather squarely-built, with the typical bulging Brainy-type head, a slender neck, and dark or medium-coloring. Their chief character trait is a combination of active, athletic and imaginative.
Some people will have a third or even fourth body type in their physique. Miall said if you can get the first two body types identified, that will give you a key to their character. And presumably, it’ll make the identification of a third or fourth body type easier.
