THIS CARD GAME AS DIVINATION

It’s an inescapable fact this card deck was born as a divination tool. When playing any card game, with any sort of deck, the divination-sensitive participant may take particular note if they receive the same card or two in hand after hand. Did any one or two particular suits seem to predominate in the majority of hands? If so which suit, or suits? Did your hands start out good, then get increasingly-shitty as the game went on? Did your hands start out poor, then get better as the game went on? Did the strength of your hands vary, like a roller-coaster ride? All these details can be telegraphing messages to the divination-sensitive card player.
Below is a guide I developed for those who want assistance in discerning what the course and outcome of the game means for them personally. Then again, sometimes a game is just a game, so if you don’t want to assign any deeper-meaning to it, feel free to skip this download.
Card games are inherently tests of fate, and monitors of the imperceptible currents of what we call ‘luck.’ This is what makes them such good tests of how the energies of luck are flowing in peoples’ lives. Someone will win and everyone else will lose, and that’s the reality we accept about card games. There are two potential winners I baked-into this game: the person who achieves the target-number of points first (either 250 or 200), and the person who wins the most hands. If the two potential winners happen to be one and the same person, the winner can consider themselves especially-blessed. Based on this experience, if I were either winner, I might consider stopping at the local convenience store on my way home for a lottery ticket, because the fact you won indicates the energies of the Universe are in harmony with you right now, so strike while the iron is hot.
I hope you all enjoy this game and find it enlightening at the same time. If you have any questions about particular issues in play which I haven’t answered here, notify me by e-mail, and I will attempt to answer them. This game is new, so there may be some bugs which need to be worked out. And may all your hands be good ones!
EXERCISES
How can I prescribe exercises? It’s a game! But here are some suggestions:
~Try this game with varying numbers of players, to see if there’s a sweet-spot number of players which seems to work the most-effectively.
~Keeping the omens guide in mind, take note of the general course of play. Did any players have results which accorded with any of the alerts on the omens guide? Did anything subsequently occur which either confirmed or ran counter to what the omens guide indicated?
~Now that you’ve played the game, consider these questions: does Napoleon’s Book of Fate card deck work better as a card game or a divination tool? Is it either or neither for you? Would you use this deck as a card game again? Under what circumstances would you employ this game? Would you play this game with a divination-skeptic?
