CASTING METHODS
As always, clear your mind and say a prayer or ask the aid of your choice, whether it be Deity, Ancestor, Universe, Spirit, etc. Reach into the bag and churn up the stones as you focus your mind on your question. Do this with your less-dominant hand, because that is considered your ‘receptive’ hand and you want to receive information here. When you feel you’ve mixed them up enough, grab a handful of stones at random from the bag, don’t think about it just do it, quickly, then cast, drop, or strew them on your chosen casting field. Some stone divination practitioners reach in with one hand and go with a fistful. Others prefer to reach in the bag with both hands, cup the stones, then pull out their hands and drop the stones, helicopter-style, over the casting field (obviously this will only work if your bag is big enough for two hands). You could dump the whole bag onto the casting field. Go with whatever method feels right to you. Stone divination is very open-ended.
Another thing to keep in mind is sometimes you will draw a number of stones from the bag, but a stone or two will bounce off or totally miss the casting field when you drop them. If this is the case, then likely whatever these errant stones represent is not relevant to your question/issue. If it lands near a particular section of the casting chart but not on it, that may indicate it has some relation to the issue, but is of minor importance. It will be up to you to decide if it is significant to your reading or not. Some readers disregard any stones which fall outside of the immediate casting field.
