SOME CONCLUDING REALITIES ABOUT PSYCHOMETRY

What you detect when practicing psychometry can come in a variety of ways. You may get symbols instead of actual images. You may get only physical sensations or smells. You may get words or thoughts suddenly popping up in your head, or you may even psychically hear bits of conversation. All of this input is valid and should be noted. Since psychometry is a form of psychic feeling ability, think of your hands as working together with the solar plexus, the psychic feeling center. If your hand doesn’t seem to be picking up on anything, what does your solar plexus have to say about the object you’re touching?

You may not be in a life situation where you can do all of the exercises listed but even doing one or two of them will help you develop this ability. You should practice psychometry regularly in order to get good at it, of course. To practice psychometry effectively, your mind must be clear. You must not be distracted by any troubling life issue weighing on your mind, and you should allow at least an hour after eating before attempting psychometry. If you practice alone, keep a record of your impressions, because you may be able to verify the information later. Thrift stores and secondhand stores can be great places to practice psychometry but holding the preferred pen or pencil of a co-worker, friend or family member can also yield information.

Psychometry can be a good way of acquiring background information about people or situations but remember people have a right to privacy. Practicing psychometry for the purpose of acquiring gossip fodder or material you can use against somebody later or just plain nosiness is unethical. Don’t let anybody else who knows you can do this use your talent in this way either. It’s even possible you could pick up on something in a person’s or group’s future and that information should be handled with sensitivity as well. All that having been said, do enjoy this new psychic ability. It can open a whole new world of information for you.
