CONCLUDING COMMENTS ABOUT THE THUNDER CALENDAR
This Thunder Calendar is something you’re going to have to test for yourself over time. Toward that end, you’ll notice the last page of the PDF is a sheet for recording your observations. It may take months or years to prove its worth to you. Given its age, mysterious origin and multiple translations, I’m not going to make any pronouncements, assumptions or reassurances about its degree of accuracy, or lack thereof.
But if you do find it accurate, then it could be an asset if you’re in agriculture, the commodities market, government, or just a gardener. The next time it thunders, you note the date, check the Thunder Calendar, then say to yourself, ‘ah, so this is going to happen.’ It can give you an advantage, having a source of information most other people don’t have, and would probably dismiss anyway.
Are there other ways of divining by thunder? Perhaps; there may well have been people who could hear thunder and get immediate intuitive flashes as to what it meant. But for those of us without that particular talent, this will suffice. This closes-out all the divination lessons having to do with atmospheric divination. Combine thunder divination with cloud and wind divination and you could look like a real wiz. All that would be missing is the toga, beard and haruspicer’s hat.
EXERCISE
Print out the Thunder Calendar & observations sheet, and commit to recording instances of thunder over the course of one year. Within a few days, weeks, or months after each instance of thunder, return to your observations sheet and fill-in the third-column space to record any event relative to the specific prediction for that date. If nothing happened which related to that prediction, say so. At the end of the year, look over your record for that year and answer the following questions:
- What was the track record for the year? How many ‘hits’? How many ‘misses’?
- Given this track record, how reliable & useful a divination tool is the Thunder Calendar?
- Is there anyone you know to whom you would recommend this divination tool?
- Extra Credit: if you practice cloud or wind divination along with thunder divination, does it improve the accuracy of the thunder’s prediction?
