Alternatively, as has been proposed with the ‘Universal Oracle’ cards, if you’ve got a group of willing-parties on-hand, one person can act as the ‘dealer who shuffles the deck and deals three cards face-down to the participants, who then turn the cards over and read their fortunes.

An answer-slips template is included in the download. Halloween hosts who offer this divination tool for the use of their guests are encouraged to have some on hand, so their guests can write-down the predictions they received and note later how things turned out.

Because most of the predictions in the cards are…oh, not dark exactly, but somewhat challenging in nature, I encourage anyone using this deck as a Halloween amusement to have my Solutions Deck on-hand for any guest who says “Oh joy. Anything I can do about this?” For those pro-active individuals, the Solutions Deck PDF is below:

As always, I encourage the user to free-associate with this tool. Depending on the Halloween-related symbol on the card they chose, it may speak meanings in the mind of the user that I haven’t included in the commentary on the card. Do have fun with this, and with any of the other Halloween divination tools I’ve devised. Sometimes the truest answers can come through in a spirit of light-hearted fun.

EXERCISES (Optional)

  1. Try using this deck, pulling just one card for your fortune. Return to your notes on the answer slip a year from now. Was the prediction fulfilled?
  2. Try using this deck, pulling two or three cards for your fortune. Return to your notes on the answer slip a year from now. Was the prediction fulfilled? Was it more accurate, given the greater number of cards you drew?
  3. Note the card(s) someone else drew, someone you know well, and whose life you can observe. Return to your notes a while later. Was the prediction made for them fulfilled?
