GEMATRIA-NUTS AND BOLTS
Gematria starts with the alpha-numeric table, seen below:
How they came to this number assignment for alphabets, I don’t know, but I assume it was determined by some ancient mystic who knew what he was doing. This alpha-numeric table can be used for words, whole-names, partial names, phrases, named acts of legislation by legislatures, etc.
Below is a Gematria Calculation & Character-Analysis Worksheet I developed to use with this system, although you don’t have to. Any old pen and paper will do.
Because the descriptors in the Table of Significations are so brief and lacking in detail, I’ve written some commentary of my own on what I perceive some of the various descriptors could mean. I’ve attached it below, and I hope it will spark ideas of your own when you come across a descriptor which just doesn’t seem to fit the subject:
