‘EGYPTIAN’ ROMANTIC RHYMING FORTUNES
This is a simple method of forecasting people’s romantic futures for the next seven days, making it a good game to play for Valentine’s Day or a wedding shower attended by a number of un-married people. Given the nature of the answers, I judge it will most-appeal to straight women, gay men, and bi-sexual individuals. Heterosexual men and lesbians may find themselves rather left-out, but if they’re willing and able to mentally reverse the gender of the mysterious someone in their rhyming fortune, they might profitably be able to play this game.
- Gather the participants around the table. Remove the Tens and the Jokers from the deck, then set them aside for the time being.
- Each participant will take a turn shuffling the deck, until they feel they’ve shuffled enough. With the deck face-down in their hands, they will then draw one card out of the deck. They will lay this on the table in front of them, face-down, and pass the deck on to the next person for shuffling and drawing a card. All cards will remain face-down until everyone in the group has drawn a card.
- After everyone has drawn a card, all will turn their cards face-up, and have their fortunes read by whoever has possession of the list of Rhyming Fortunes.
- If they so-desire, the participants may play a second round of this game, but not a third.
