I immediately saw some problems with this divination tool. Number one, the ‘Wheel of Fortune’ in the book is so tiny, you couldn’t use any pointer larger than a needle or a straight-pin. Okay, maybe a pen or pencil-tip. (Number one, sub-point b: the center decorative circle in the book’s Wheel of Fortune is large enough that you could miss choosing a slice of the astrological pie altogether). Number two, even after choosing a zodiacal segment to focus on for the second part of the forecast, how could you be sure your pointer would land in the same segment? Number three, I thought the answers possible with this tool needed updating. A few of the answers seemed so antique-y, they needed re-wording in order to clarify their meaning. Suddenly, I had me a project. I was going to make this a usable divination tool.

The end-result is posted below. I’ve doubled the size of the Wheel of Fortune, shrunk the center-decoration, and I’ve created a ‘masking wheel’ for use with it when you want to focus on one segment. I’ve very-slightly revised the Oracular Tables, with an eye toward making the answers more clear. Each segment of the Wheel of Fortune has nine answers possible, for a total of 108 possible different answers, but a few answers are repeats, so it’s more like 106 possible different answers. I’ve tried to respect the ‘gifted occultists’  original work and revise as few answers as possible, but I’ve adjusted a little of the wording and added clarity (more words) to a few of them.
