I practice the first divination method, which I prefer for its ease. After calming and focusing my mind, I start gently stirring up the bowl of tiles in front of me, and I say the following invocation:

Gods and Goddesses of ancient Greece, speak to me through these, Your alphabet. And of the letters which I stir up in the bowl in front of me, which letter contains the message I most need to know for my life this coming week?

I stop stirring the tiles and pull my hand out of the pot. With my eyes closed, I point an index finger down into the bowl and go with the first tile which meets my finger. I invoke the Deities of ancient Greece for the simple reason that this alphabet comes to us from the culture which held Them sacred. But all symbol-based divination systems are vocabularies; so long as you invoke someone who can answer you via the Greek alphabet oracle, you don’t have to invoke the Greek Gods in order to receive a true answer.

The following is a list of meanings for each letter. The numeric values for each Greek letter refer to dice-roll results, for those employing the second method of greek alphabet divination
