Analyzing the nature of the questions asked in this book, they seemed to break down into four categories: predictive, philosophical, character, and clarification. The greatest number of questions were predictive in nature, with 32 questions asking about something in the future. The second greatest number of questions were clarifying questions (where the inquirer is asking about a course of action or a state of affairs) and there were 21 questions in this category. Questions concerning character came in third, with 19 questions in this category. The smallest number of questions were philosophical questions, with only 8 questions in this category.

I broke down the division of the questions as follows:

Questions Which are Predictive in Nature: 1, 2, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 13, 16, 21, 24, 25, 26, 30, 32, 34, 36, 37, 39, 42, 43, 47, 48, 49, 50, 51, 55, 60, 64, 66, 76, 78

Questions Which are Philosophical in Nature: 12, 44, 45, 58, 62, 67, 70, 73

Questions Which Fundamentally Address Issues of Character: 14, 18, 27, 33, 38, 40, 41, 46, 52, 54, 57, 59, 63, 65, 68, 69, 71, 74, 80

Questions Which Seek Clarification: 3, 9, 10, 11, 15, 17, 19, 20, 22, 23, 28, 29, 35, 53, 56, 61, 72, 75, 77, 79, 31

All this having been said, your mileage may vary. A question I consider predictive you might classify as clarifying, and something I categorize as clarifying you might consider a matter of character. But these categories feature in the exercises at the end of the lesson, which is why I’ve broken them down like this.

With all that out of the way, below is the PDF of The Young Ladies Oracle. I copied and pasted the original from Internetarchive.org and lightened it up a bit-the original pages had gotten quite dark with age-but the pagination you’ll be using for finding your answers is the book’s, not the PDF’s. The last page of the PDF is a pair of answer slips for recording the answers you receive from the oracle, as well as room for follow-up notes.
