Of course, this deck is dependent on your own intuition about when to use it or not. Some people you read for are stoic and obviously don’t want or need any help in dealing with the matter, preferring to handle it on their own. Others may be genuinely stymied and could use a little helpful insight. The Solutions Deck is designed for persons who feel motivated to do something about their situation, to start mapping out a plan of action, and not just to absorb what they may see as bad news.
A secondary name by which I think of this deck is ‘The Consolations Deck’ because offering constructive suggestions on how to proceed can be reassuring and comforting to some people, making them feel less at the mercy of events. Divination at its best can serve as a road-map. A deck like this can help the confused traveler who thinks he took the wrong turn get back on-track. It may happen that you use this deck and the inquirer does not feel themselves helped by it. But the Solutions/Consolations Deck may assist you with the reading, because seeing the proposed solution may help shed some light on the rest of the reading.
Because this is deck is new, experimental and untried, I’m including just two visual exercises. Whether you think of this as the Solutions Deck or the Consolations Deck, I hope you find it of some value.
EXERCISES

- Look at the picture above. If this were the end-cap of a reading you have done for someone, how would you phrase it to the inquirer in a sentence or two? What cohesive message do you draw from it?
