CONCLUSION

“’To give alectryomancy a proper test, we must leave it strictly to chance, in the hope that some unseen power will take over and guide the instrument involved, whether it be a hungry rooster or a staggering human. But once we admit the existence of the unknown factor, any instrument may be employed.”

~Walter Brown Gibson, from The Complete Book of Divination & Prophecy.

The strength of the roulette wheel as a divination tool lies in its complete randomness, its apparent imperviousness to the desires of the inquirer. It is one of those divination tools which seems to reach into the ethers to grab an answer which is neither one of a pre-set list of optional answers, nor one which can be gamed to give a particular answer, nor one where the inquirer must string together a series of images or symbols into a coherent message. The answer you receive will be specific to you at that particular point in time, a specificity which is matched by few divination tools. The challenge lies in interpreting a specific answer which could be mystifying in its message.

This is the sort of divination tool to use for obtaining answers to questions like:

  • What is the first name of the person I will marry?
  • What’s their last name?
  • How many children will I have?
  • Will I marry again?
  • If so, what is the name of my next spouse?
  • How long will I live? (If you really want to know the answer).
  • What do I need to know for my life right now?
  • What is the name of the company or business where I will be employed/land my first job?
  • What is the name of the person who is responsible for the missing item’s disappearance?
  • Is there anyone important coming into my life soon, and if so, what is their name?
  • If my near-future could be summed-up in one word, what would it be?
  • When will I be able to take an important trip I have long been wanting to take?
  • In what sort of investment would I see the best return for my money?
  • Any particular company whose name I should look for?
  • Which horse is going to win the race today?
  • Where can I find the item I am looking for?
  • Where can I find the missing item?
  • Which side is going to throw in the towel first?

The roulette wheel is for short, specific answers only, and it best-rewards the disciplined and patient. But there may be times in life when it is the best tool to use for your purposes, so when those times come up, I hope it gives you helpful, useful, and beneficial answers.

EXERCISES

  1. Ask a number-answer sort of question. Note the answer you receive. How long did it take you to obtain an answer? File it away and return to it later. Did your answer make more sense after some time had passed?
  2. Ask an alphabet-based sort of question, where you’re looking for a word answer. Note the answer you receive. How long did it take you to obtain an answer? File it away and return to it later. Did the answer make more sense after some time had passed?
  3. Ask a question for which you know the answer. Note the answer you receive; how well or poorly did it reflect the reality of the situation for which you asked the question?
  4. Given your brief experience with this divination tool, in what circumstances would you choose to use this tool? In what circumstances would you not use this tool?
