Imagine a wise friend, who also has the ability to psychically ‘see’ the near-future, and you’ve got the Tablet of Thoth. This tablet is designed to provide the inquirer with wise advice on how to proceed with their life in the near-future. It’s a wise old adviser of a tablet. Showers said this tablet had its roots in ancient Egypt, but the yes-and-no stones didn’t really confirm this assertion of age for me.
