Observation 4
The Grand Tableau Spread is a great lay-out for doing deep-dives on any subject for which you want all the dirty details. I was wrong to let the Grand Tableau intimidate me. It just takes practice. It was a delightful process, and even addictive, uncovering one uncanny detail after another which started telling a story.
Observation 5
Since I haven’t mentioned it anywhere else, I’ll mention it here: three of the four last cards in this spread, in the bottom right-hand corner, are the Tree, the Magnifying Glass (a Ciro Marchetti addition, which represents Investigation for me), and the Birds. These are followed by the Mountain. These four cards together tell me a thriving investigation is currently going on concerning the role of social media in bringing about obstacles and division in U.S. society. Social media’s role in U.S. domestic politics will receive considerable attention this year, because the Mountain is the number 21 card, and what card occupies it’s house? The Moon, Number 32, the notoriety card. This very-public conversation will go on a long time, because the card in the Moon’s house is the Anchor, long-term things. The Birds card houses to a Ciro Marchetti-addition, the Time card. It’s time this conversation took place.
