In the next installment, I will discuss a few recommended layouts for using the Theban Alphabet which Greg Jenkins discusses in his book. For now, try the exercises below.
EXERCISES
- Download and print out whichever deck you prefer. Cut out the cards, spread them out randomly and simply look at them for a few minutes. Apart from the names assigned to them, which symbols give you a positive feeling? Are there any symbols which give you a negative feeling? Are there any Theban letters you feel neutral about? Read the meanings the for the cards which give you good vibes–is there anything these Theban letters have in common? Do the same for the cards you get distinctly negative feelings about–do these have anything in common? What do these choices seem to be saying about you and your life right now?
- Try using these cards as a daily omen or oracle. Take note of your card for each day and what happens that day. Were they accurate or did they miss by a country mile? Did they address what happened in your world or simply what was going on in your mind that day?
- Try using these cards to do a reading for a public figure in the news. Did it yield any insight as to what they might be thinking and feeling right now?
- Try using these cards to get a read about someone you know. Based on what you know about this person and their situation, did the cards make sense? What advice would you give this person, if any, based on this deck’s advice?
3/11/2021 Update: Below is an annotated edition of the large set of Theban Alphabet Oracle cards, for those who may want a set of Theban Alphabet Oracle Cards with brief descriptions of the cards’ meanings on them, a ‘training wheels’ set, so to speak. This PDF has an alternative card-back design, which makes it easier to know when the card is right-side-up or up-side-down, and it includes a specially-designed envelope to keep them in, which should also work with the non-annotated large cards.

Thanks for sharing this! I always learn something fascinating from your posts!
Wow I really enjoyed looking and look forward to learning the meanings of each one, i always just thought of them as a single letter not having
much meaning…So really appreciate this.
I was surprised too. I’ve only found Dr. Jenkins’ book on the subject of the Theban letters’ individual meanings, but it’s a good introduction to the subject. And I’ve found the Theban Alphabet oracle quite on-target about what’s going on in my life at various times.
On behalf of Dr. Jenkins, I can say that he is most impressed and appreciative of your work here. Your work here, along with the beautiful cards (PDF) are simply splendid. He, and all of us at PSIresearcher thank you. With a kind heart, take care.
Oh, thank you! I’m glad you like it!
