The Tri-Partite Method of Dice Casting
This dice casting method is Wiccan in origin, and calls for three dice, which give a three-part general reading. Each die is cast separately for the purpose of getting a prediction on three specific areas of life: 1.) the General Idea or Influence in Life at the time, 2.) Money Matters and 3.) Love Matters. When purchasing your set of dice for this method, you may want to buy dice in various colors, so you use a different-color die for each area of inquiry. The set of dice I use, I purchased at my local hardware store, of all places. It came in a set of ten, and five of the dice were the traditional white-with-black-dots, while the other five in the pack were red, yellow, blue, green and black, with white dots. I will only need to use three of the colored dice, but I might even come up with my own categories of inquiry for the other two dice some day. If I do, I’ll be sure to post it on this blog!
I used the red die for the Love Matters question, the green die for the Money Matters question, and the yellow die for the General Idea/Life Influence question. Each of these three dice have a different meaning for each facet of the six-sided cube. They are as follows:
