Of the four principal psychic abilities, psychic feeling is the easiest to access and interpret. The downside is, it’s also the hardest psychic sense to ‘turn off’ or shut-out. Psychic Feelers can be easily bombarded with negative psychic input that other psychic senses don’t have to deal with. It’s not surprising that the physical reception area for psychic feeling would be centered in the solar plexus region, that is, from the top of the diaphragm to the area just below the navel (see illustration at the beginning of this lesson). Numerous nerve networks associated with the involuntary nervous system are located there, spreading over the abdomen like a web of fine wires. Medical science has found the presence of brain tissue in the human intestines, which certainly begs the question of why there would be brain tissue in the intestines, if not to function as a second brain. Thus, you have an array of nerves across your midsection like a satellite dish, picking up on incoming energy, and a second brain to assist in interpreting the incoming information, which makes it a perfect location for centering psychic feeling.

Many have this ability to a marked degree (though they may not realize it), but some don’t. So, before we go any further, take the test below. It’s very brief, and should give you an idea of how much work you need to do in this area:

When you’ve taken the test, look over your answers. Of the ‘Yes’ answers, how many of the sensations connected to those answers do you associate with a gut feeling? If you’re a Psychic Feeler, chances are the answer is either most or all of them.
