CONCLUSION

It’s an historical artifact as much as a useful divination tool. Not many people these days are concerned about a wet-nurse for their infant or fabric-filching tailors, let alone if they’ll be knighted by the king. Having a variety of books of fate to choose from is good, because though there may be some overlap in the nature of the questions asked, there’s also a little variation in the subject matter each book of fate addresses, so the user can shop around for a book of fate which best addresses their concerns.

EXERCISES

Print out at least two copies of the answer record sheet on page 85 of the PDF and answer the following questions. You may want to print out a few copies of page 8 of the PDF in order to do your calculations.

  1. Find a question which applies to something in your past. Ask the question and record what answer you receive. How accurate would you say it was? Or was the answer so vague it could be considered a ‘maybe’ at best?
  2. Find another two or three questions from the list on pages 4 to 6 of the PDF for which you’d like to get an answer and record the answers you receive. When you judge that a suitable length of time has passed, return to these answers. How accurate were they? Were they on-target or did they miss?
