WHAT SORT OF QUESTIONS TO ASK
So what kind of questions is over-the-shoulder divination good for? The following questions come to mind, and should be enough to get you started:
- What is bothering me right now?
- What is bothering (fill in the blank with the person of your choice) right now?
- Where does the answer lie?
- Where does healing lie?
- What can I do to fix the situation?
- What does the near-future hold for me?
- What should I be focusing my attention on right now?
- What should my next move be?
- What was I meant to learn from what happened?
- What am I refusing to see?
- What do I want?
- What characteristics or traits does my future boyfriend/girlfriend/lover/spouse have?
- What potential talents do I have that I’ve been neglecting, and could develop?
- New Year’s, birthday or beginning-of-the-school-year question: what does the coming year mean for me?
- What was the most important thing I gained from (fill in the blank with the past- experience of your choice)?
- What does (fill in the blank with a name) think of me?
Any one object will convey a variety of different meanings in response to each question, and they may differ from person to person. It’s up to you to determine what that meaning is. One person may think a shark pendant means happy times on a tropical vacation, and another person may be remembering a scary near-miss snorkeling in the Caribbean last summer.
