Meanings: When paired with good cards, like Cheerfulness, Joyfulness, or Fortune, it can indicate a fun, if a bit out-of-control celebration with friends and like-minded others. If paired with negative cards, it can represent crazy or agitated thoughts, which can lead to recklessness or risky behavior. This can represent someone who is caught up in the moment, swept up in the crowd, negatively influenced by bad company, and not thinking for themselves. This card can be a caution. Reversed: Unwise behavior or significant errors in judgment may have led to repercussions in various degrees of seriousness. If they’re lucky, nothing came of their bad judgement or foolish behavior. This card reversed can mean sobering up, returning to reality, and assessing the damage.

Meanings: Though this can represent an actual religious person, it more often indicates the presence of the sacred, and reminds the inquirer there is a Higher Power, that there is more to life than the material, and that they may be called-upon here to examine their conscience and their behavior, to meditate, or to deepen their spirituality. Secondarily, it can represent pressing legal matters which need attention. Reversed: Immorality, or the presence of an immoral individual. Meanings: This can be literal imprisonment, from merely overnight to permanent imprisonment, but it can refer to anything that is locked, closed, or unable to break free. It can also represent someone imprisoned by an addiction. This confinement may be self-imposed. It may be time for the inquirer to take time to reflect on their mistakes. Reversed: Release from some confining circumstance or situation. A locked mind is now free to roam. Release from prison, a work-release arrangement, or possibly parole. Someone in danger of imprisonment who successfully dodges the bullet of incarceration.

Meanings: This can be anything from a family or class reunion, to a reconciliation of people who had been separated by differences, conflicts, or by circumstances beyond their control. This card could be indicating that a ‘clearing-the-air’ conversation could bring this reconciliation about. This is almost always a positive card, although in the Zingara sibilla deck, one person is looking away, suggesting the reunion may be unwelcome or unsought by one party. Reversed: The reconciliation or reunion will not happen. A ‘clearing-the-air’ conversation will not result in the hoped-for reunion. One party, for whatever reason, is delaying an appointment or meeting.

Surrounding cards can fill in some of the blanks. Reversed: A world turned upside down. There is inner turmoil, confusion and lack of perspective. A complex, tangled situation that one is unable to get ahead of, or get back on track. Any desire to withdraw and reflect may be impossible because of the flow of events. A rank-and-file employee of the organization is discontented, and working against their employer. They are betraying them, stealing from them, or telling tales out-of-school. Possibly a whistleblower. An uncomfortable situation or difficult times for the inquirer, because help is unavailable, unreliable, or they may be unable or unwilling to either accept help, or to provide self-care.

Meanings: Someone who is willing and able to be of help or service to the inquirer. They may genuinely like the inquirer, but also it’s their job to serve, so their feelings don’t matter(the man isn’t smiling as he holds the car-door open). Like the Servant card, they’re working for pay in either a public or private capacity. Surrounding cards will indicate if this service-person is a genuine friend or not. This card could mean the inquirer is the one who needs to be of service to others. Reversed: Poor service, balky service, incompetent service, or secretly-rebellious service personnel who are being deliberately unhelpful. This can represent a disloyal employee who is working against the individual or organization they work for because of any one of a variety of reasons.
